Job Summary
Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities, conducting patient rounds to assess and manage both acute illnesses and ongoing medical conditions. Diagnose and treat patients while discussing treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families. Maintain accurate medical records, ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care. Work closely with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support resident well-being. This part-time role offers the opportunity to evolve into a Medical Director leadership position within Infinite Medical P.C.'s nationwide network of advanced practice providers focused on senior care.
Required Qualifications
- A board-certified physician
- Experience in primary care
- Experience in long-term care (LTC)
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Ability to stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
