Job Summary
Greets and assists donors to safely unload vehicles, sorts items into correct categories, and maintains accurate daily counts. Replaces and labels full gaylords, assists with building and breaking them down, and prepares materials for transport while keeping the work area clean and organized. Requires standing for up to eight hours, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role supports Goodwill NCW's mission of elevating people through community donations and skill building.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, and strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
