Job Summary
Ensure appropriate vehicle counts and parking order at the lot while directing customers to available spaces and controlling traffic at entrances and exits. Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in motor carts, assist customers who have forgotten where they parked, and issue violation warnings for policy breaches. Maintain a clean and presentable lot by reporting debris, water, oil spills, and safety hazards to the garage office, while controlling traffic and assisting with equipment maintenance as directed. Substitute for Valets when authorized and communicate any observed accidents or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager. Work rotating shifts from 7:00am to 4:30pm, including weekends, while maintaining a neat uniform and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance
- Ability to be in complete uniform at all times
