Job Summary
Ensure appropriate parking numbers and cleanliness throughout the shift by directing customers, counting vehicles, and controlling traffic at entrances and exits. Patrol reserved and transient levels on foot or in motor carts, issue violation warnings, and assist customers who have forgotten where they parked. Report accidents, safety hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager and communicate debris or spills to the garage office. Perform general maintenance tasks, substitute for valets when authorized, and answer customer questions while maintaining a neat uniform. Work every scheduled day on time, with availability for second, third, or weekend shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance
- Ability to be in complete uniform at all times
