Job Summary
Ensure appropriate vehicle counts and parking order throughout your shift while maintaining lot cleanliness. Direct incoming customers to available spaces, issue violation warnings, and patrol transient and reserved levels on foot or in motor carts. Control traffic at entrances and exits, assist patrons with forgotten vehicles, and answer customer questions or direct them to the Facility Manager as needed. Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, and debris to the garage office. Perform general maintenance tasks on parking equipment and substitute for Valets when authorized. Maintain a neat uniform and thorough knowledge of local streets and landmarks.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
- Ability to stand; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit and climb or balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
