Attendant, Laundry - The Elmore Hotel

Job Summary
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press guest linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles while operating laundry machinery safely. Maintain proper handling of delicate fabrics, monitor detergent and linen inventory, and ensure all items are delivered to housekeeping promptly. Keep laundry areas organized, perform routine equipment maintenance, and report malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. Inspect finished items for cleanliness and damage, ensuring compliance with Coury Hospitality standards and environmental regulations. Work closely with Housekeeping and supervisors to meet operational needs, assist in training new staff, and communicate regarding inventory and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to handle repetitive motions such as folding, sorting, and pressing
- Ability to work in warm, humid laundry environments
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to operate laundry machinery and handle chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
