Job Summary
Conduct janitorial services for high-traffic restrooms, lobbies, and grounds at state rest areas, including cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, and urinals, while restocking supplies and emptying trash containers. Maintain exterior facilities by sweeping and mopping floors, clearing debris from parking lots and sidewalks, and performing lawn maintenance such as mowing, trimming shrubs, and weeding flowerbeds. Assist with basic plumbing repairs, painting, and deep cleaning projects as required. Work PT shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year plus janitorial experience
- 1 year plus grounds maintenance experience
- Drug Screen
- WSC Background Check
- Contractor Background Check
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds constantly
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Must be able to push and pull movement
- Must be able to work in wet and humid conditions
- Must be able to work in extreme cold/heat
- Must be able to work in temperature changes
- Must be able to work in team environment or independently
- Must be able to work with Leaf Vacuum and Blower
- Must be able to work with Basic Janitorial Equipment
- Must be able to work with Gardening Hand Tools
- Must be able to work with Utility Cart
- Must be able to work with Weed eater, trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer
- Must be able to work with Zero Turn and Push Mower
- Must be able to work with Pressure Washer
- Must be able to work with Basic Hand tools (Plunger)
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion
- Must be able to maintain professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED/trade certificate
- 1 Year plus janitorial experience
- 1 year plus grounds maintenance experience
- 1 year experience with building maintenance experience
