Job Summary
Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, count vehicles throughout the shift, and control traffic at entrances and exits. Issue violation warnings for policy breaches, assist customers who have forgotten where they parked, and report accidents, safety hazards, or debris to the Facility Manager. Patrol reserved and transient levels, maintain parking equipment, and substitute for valets when authorized. Maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas, local streets, and landmarks to ensure a seamless experience. Work every scheduled day in uniform, with availability for special shifts including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- A valid state driver's license
- Current address
- Acceptable driving record
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S.
- Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends)
- The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers
- The ability to respond professionally to customer problems or complaints
- The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency
- The ability to comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- The ability to calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working
- Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage
- Have a thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage
Desired Qualifications
- The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift)
