Job Summary
Assists clients with daily living activities and personal hygiene as directed by the supervisor. Supervises client activities to ensure safety and reports significant changes to supervisors. Requires a pleasant demeanor and the ability to support fellow workers. Must complete required training and be physically capable of performing various tasks, including lifting and moving clients. The position necessitates patience, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to recognize changes in a client’s appearance, attitude, and condition
- Ability to exercise patience, tact, initiative, judgment, and confidentiality
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must demonstrate competency to perform the tasks assigned by the supervisor
