Job Summary
The Attendant/Caregiver will assist clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, under supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring safety, reporting changes in the client’s condition, and maintaining compliance with care policies and regulations. Candidates must demonstrate competency through orientation checklists, and possess physical capabilities for lifting and moving clients as needed. The role demands strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a pleasant and cheerful demeanor
- Ability to effectively and efficiently carry out duties
- Ability to encourage, mentor, and support fellow workers
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds
- Requires patience, tact, initiative, judgment, and confidentiality
- Work under minimal supervision
