Job Summary
The Attendant / Caregiver assists clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene and safety supervision. Responsibilities include reporting significant changes in client’s conditions to supervisors, monitoring environments for safety hazards, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Ideal candidates must have a pleasant demeanor, ability to follow detailed instructions, and perform physical tasks involving lifting and moving clients. Competency in the required skills will be assessed during orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Pleasant and cheerful demeanor
- Ability to carry out duties efficiently and cooperate with fellow workers
- Competency to perform assigned tasks as determined by supervisor
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds and exercise patience, tact, and initiative
- Ability to recognize changes in a client's appearance, attitude, and condition
