Job Summary
Provide quality direct support and supervision to agency clients to assist individuals in accomplishing daily living activities and teaching them to live independently in community settings. Monitor clients' medication compliance, observe behavioral changes, and report concerns to supervisors. Transport individuals to various locations as required and provide direct psychosocial group services to child clients up to age 18. Maintain accurate records of all client services, including documentation notes and timesheets, and attend supervision and training meetings. Assist in maintaining residential living facilities by preparing meals, handling laundry, and supporting clients with personal hygiene skills. Gather client vitals and health information for medical appointments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with persons with serious emotional disturbance and/or severe and persistent mental illness
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a therapeutic team
- Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak the English language
- Ability to interpret written materials
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present and respond to questions
- Ability to occasionally stand
- Ability to occasionally walk
- Ability to occasionally sit
- Ability to handle objects
- Ability to grasp and reach for items with hands and arms
- Ability to manipulate hands and fingers

- Certification in Managing Aggressive Behaviors (MAB)
