Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility) and monitor health status, reporting changes to site lead. Provide companionship and emotional support, encourage social engagement, and maintain accurate care records per facility policies. Ensure cleanliness and safety of living spaces, follow health and safety protocols, and respond promptly to emergencies. Coordinate care by serving as liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers; participate in the onsite paid training and orientation process. Shift options include two full-time evening/night slots, a first-shift full-time housekeeping split, and part-time roles with rotating weekend schedules. Must uphold compassionate caregiving, strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and physical stamina to support daily activities and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in assisted living, elder care, or related caregiving role preferred, not required
- Ability to pass background checks and meet state-specific requirements for assisted living attendants
- Strong communication skills and compassionate, patient demeanor
- Dependability, Good Attendance Record
- Willing to complete onsite paid training program and orientations as needed
