Attendance Technician

Job Summary
Monitor daily student attendance, identify absenteeism and truancy patterns, and maintain accurate records using student information systems. Conduct conferences with students, parents, and school staff while communicating attendance requirements and concerns. Perform home visits for chronic absenteeism, support dropout prevention programs, and coordinate interventions with administrators and community partners. Prepare legal documentation for court proceedings and represent the school division in attendance-related legal matters. Ensure confidentiality of student records while managing multiple cases and prioritizing responsibilities. Requires a high school diploma, two years of experience with at-risk youth, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of attendance laws.

- Proficiency with computer systems and data management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Some college coursework
- Two (2) years of experience working with at-risk youth or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience
