Job Summary
Track attendance for students in grades 9-12 and ensure compliance with state attendance laws. Handle correspondence to teachers, parents, judges, and probation and welfare offices; input nurse’s daily sheet, due processes, suspensions, withdrawals, homebound students, field trips, and ISS; take calls from parents regarding student absences and follow up on attendance; prepare student attendance folders; generate attendance reports and maintain spreadsheets; supervise office aides; assist local law enforcement and probation department regarding student records when requested; maintain daily sign-out sheets; communicate with Assistant Principals and TCTC regarding student attendance; assist senior guidance counselor with attendance issues of seniors; participate on the high school attendance committee; perform other duties as assigned. Requires strong office administration knowledge, ability to plan and organize, discretion with confidential matters, clear written and oral communication, and ability to establish effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED / HSED, or equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with parents, staff and students
- Proficient technology and keyboarding skills
- Good public relations skills
