Job Summary
Monitor and analyse attendance information to identify patterns and pupils requiring support. Collaborate with pupils, families, colleagues, and external professionals to coordinate timely interventions and improve punctuality. Arrange attendance meetings, undertake home visits, and complete referrals as needed. Ensure attendance registers, statutory returns, and related records are completed accurately. Promote and celebrate good attendance across the school while contributing to wider safeguarding, welfare, and inclusion work. This role supports an inclusive junior school environment focused on pupil wellbeing and high aspirations within the Thinking Schools Academy Trust.
Required Qualifications
- relevant experience within education, attendance, safeguarding, welfare, pastoral support or a related area
- Be able to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Communicate sensitively and confidently, including during challenging conversations
- Have strong organisational and administrative skills and be comfortable analysing information
- Be resilient, professional and committed to improving outcomes for children
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check
