Job Summary
Campus Safety Officer on the Mesa campus responsible for monitoring security cameras and providing protection and security for all assigned properties. Responsibilities include assisting a 24-hour safety team across shifts, delivering customer service to students, faculty, and staff, creating/updating ID badges, managing lost and found property, locking/unlocking doors, patrolling premises, inspecting for fire/safety hazards, conducting confidential investigations related to losses/thefts, submitting incident reports, maintaining the Reports Management System (RMS) and safety-related reports, managing vehicle registration files, ensuring parking compliance, and performing additional tasks as assigned. Requires high school diploma, valid driver’s license, ability to work independently, effective communication with diverse groups, and experience with relevant software platforms; hourly range $18.70-$21.52 per hour with benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous security or related experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to interact effectively with the public (faculty, staff, students, visitors)
- Experience with Door access systems, Surveillance camera systems, RMS, and service request systems (preferred)
- Use of the two-way radio
- Ability to multitask and follow instructions
- Attention to detail and timely follow-through
