Job Summary
Perform and/or assist with analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products while utilizing laboratory instrumentation under supervision. Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods, conduct method transfers, and author standard operating procedures. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, perform calibrations, and peer review data generated by other technicians. Comply with cGMP regulations and assist management with employee training and audit preparations. Requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, five plus years of experience in a chemistry laboratory, and proficiency with HPLC, GC, CE, ICP, FTIR, TOC, MS, and dissolution apparatus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline
- 5+ plus years' experience in a chemistry laboratory, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, CE, ICP, FTIR, TOC, MS, and dissolution apparatus
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Desire and ability to work in a positive team environment
