Job Summary
Janitorial and light maintenance duties at a truck-stop/gas station, including fueling trucks, washing windshields, and propane dispensing. Performs cleaning and sanitation of restrooms and facilities, handles outdoor upkeep, and supports customer service interactions. Must work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety and regulatory procedures, operate cleaning-related equipment, and lift up to 40 pounds. Requires basic verbal/written communication, ability to read directions on equipment/chemicals, and a background check; 18+ years old with a High School diploma or GED preferred. Preferred: one year of janitorial experience in a high-volume truck stop and additional maintenance/repair experience.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) months of experience with various janitorial duties such as sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, and dusting
- Demonstrate an employment record that supports longevity
- Effective verbal and written communication skills ensure the ability to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals, and instructions
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Stand and/or walk for long periods; able to tolerate exposure to adverse weather conditions; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; lift a minimum weight of 40 pounds chest high; work with chemicals; and operate and maneuver various equipment
- Requires a criminal history background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
