Job Summary
Conduct individual skill instruction for boys' and girls' JV soccer teams, providing leadership and enforcing MIAA rules and sportsmanship standards. Monitor athlete discipline, set appropriate boundaries, and model fair play while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and equipment usage. Assist the Athletic Director in planning practice schedules, attending regular meetings regarding eligibility and documentation, and completing all necessary program paperwork. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sport-specific training and notify leadership promptly of equipment needs or concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous related work experience with children in an education setting
- Must possess teaching and coaching techniques appropriate to the sport assigned
- Current Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED and Concussion
- First Aid, CPR, AED and Concussion training
- Certification as required by MIAA
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to relate well to others
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching in a similar sport
