Job Summary
Athletic Trainer needed to establish and maintain a comprehensive athletic training program for Wilton High School student-athletes. Responsibilities include on-field coverage during practices and most home games, injury assessment and treatment, referral to physicians, return-to-play decisions for concussions, coordinating with team physicians and school counselors, maintaining an athletic training room and treatment logs, ordering equipment and supplies, and providing education to coaching staff on proper lifting techniques, safety, and injury prevention. Requires collaboration with school physicians and first responders for emergency action planning, performance of weight certification for wrestlers, and adherence to Connecticut licensing laws and NATA Standards of Practice. Ten-month schedule aligned with fall, winter, and spring seasons; salary between $65,000 and $75,000 depending on experience.
