Job Summary
Maintain accurate medical records for injuries, treatment, and physician referrals while coordinating injury reports with the Athletic Director. Develop and implement in-season conditioning programs to prevent injuries, applying protective taping and braces as needed. Provide immediate care for athletic injuries and supervise rehabilitation protocols under physician direction. Administer neurocognitive baseline concussion tests, manage team rosters, and oversee return-to-play protocols. Present at all home contests and after-school practices, with coverage at away events including football, basketball, and state tournaments. Certify coaches annually in CPR/AED and Basic First Aid, and maintain heat index documentation for outdoor activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Trainer License
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Must be present at all home contests
- Must be available after school for all practices
- Responsibilities will extend to providing athletic training coverage at away events
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or Exercise/Medical related field preferred
