Job Summary
Provide medical coverage, on-field and in the training room, for injured athletes during practices and events at the assigned school or clinic. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment while collaborating with physicians and physical therapists. Assess and administer first aid, maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain clean, safe, and professional environments with adequate supplies. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and other sports medicine team members. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the athletic director, faculty, and boosters. Organize and present in-services, lectures, seasonal physicals, and educational opportunities. Perform duties with variable working hours, unpredictability, and potential late nights to match partner needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
