Athletic Trainer School Based

Carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with physicians, physical therapists, and coaches. Assess and administer first aid during practices and sporting events, ensuring proper physician referrals are made when needed. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain appropriate supply levels, maximal coverage, and a clean, safe, professional environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, school administration, parents, and medical team members while maintaining accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director, faculty, and boosters. Organize in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals as appropriate.
