Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, administering first aid and collaborating with physicians and physical therapists to carry out rehabilitation programs. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional while maintaining accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and the broader sports medicine team to advocate for injury prevention and overall athlete health. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation and organize educational opportunities such as in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
