Job Summary
Carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with physicians and physical therapists. Assess and administer first aid during practices and sporting events, making appropriate physician referrals when needed. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supply levels are maintained, coverage is maximal, and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional. Communicate effectively with coaches, school administration, parents, and sports medicine team members while maintaining accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
