Job Summary

Conduct rehabilitation programs and administer first aid to injured athletes during practices and events, collaborating closely with physicians, physical therapists, and coaches. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained, the environment remains clean and safe, and accurate records of evaluations and treatments are kept. Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and the coaching staff while advocating for injury prevention, health literacy, and mental health. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director and faculty, and organize educational opportunities such as in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation. This role supports the medical needs of the assigned partner at St James Hospital in Butte, Montana, with variable hours and an unpredictable schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
  • Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
