Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, assessing and administering first aid while making appropriate physician referrals. Collaborate closely with PTs and physicians to carry out rehabilitation programs post-evaluation, ensuring proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain clean, safe, and professional environments with adequate supplies, while maintaining accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members, organizing educational opportunities such as in-services and seasonal physicals. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
