Job Summary
Provide medical coverage, on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, while assisting with local high schools, community sporting events, and regional camps. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with PTs and physicians. Assess and administer first aid, maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, coverage, and a clean, safe environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members, and provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, and mental wellbeing. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director, faculty, and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
