Job Summary
Provide medical coverage for injured athletes during practices and events, administering first aid and collaborating with physicians to carry out rehabilitation programs. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional while maintaining accurate records of evaluations and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members to advocate for injury prevention, health literacy, and athlete wellbeing. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation. Variable working hours and unpredictable schedules may require late nights and adjustments to match partner needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
