Job Summary
Carry out rehabilitation programs for athletes following evaluation and treatment plan establishment while collaborating with physicians and physical therapists. Assess and administer first aid to injured athletes during practices and events, maintaining accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supply levels, maximal coverage, and a clean, safe environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members to develop stakeholder relationships and advocate for injury prevention and health literacy. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation and organize educational opportunities such as in-services and seasonal physicals. Variable working hours and unpredictable schedules may require late nights and adjustments to match partner needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
