Job Summary
Provide medical coverage, on-field and in the training room, for injured athletes during practices and events at the assigned school or community setting. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation, assess and administer first aid, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining accurate records of evaluations and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, physicians, and other sports medicine team members to support the medical needs of the partner. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director, faculty, and coaching staff. Organize in-services, lectures, seasonal physicals, and educational opportunities as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
