Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, including first aid administration and physician referrals. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation, ensuring proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, safety, and a clean environment while collaborating with PT, physicians, and coaches. Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and medical teams, and organize in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals. Maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and advocate for injury prevention, health literacy, and mental wellbeing. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director, faculty, and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
