Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, while assisting with local high schools, community sporting events, and regional camps. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with PT, physicians, and other medical team providers. Assess and administer first aid to injured athletes, ensuring proper return to play criteria are met before participation. Oversee the operation of the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, coverage, and a clean, safe environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and sports medicine team members, and maintain accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director and coaching staff, while organizing in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
