Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, including variable hours and unpredictable late nights. Administer first aid, collaborate with physicians and PTs on rehabilitation programs, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met. Operate the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, cleanliness, and safety while communicating with coaches, administration, parents, and medical staff. Maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, organize in-services and seasonal physicals, and advocate for injury prevention and health literacy. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
