Athletic Trainer School Based

Provide medical coverage on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, collaborating closely with physicians and physical therapists to carry out rehabilitation programs. Assess and administer first aid, maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain appropriate supplies, cleanliness, and safety while communicating effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and the broader sports medicine team. Develop relationships with school stakeholders and organize educational opportunities such as in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals. This role supports the medical needs of assigned partners in a school-based setting at St James Hospital in Butte, Montana, with variable hours and unpredictable schedules.
