Job Summary
Conduct on-field and training room medical coverage for injured athletes during practices and events, providing first aid and administering rehabilitation programs post-evaluation. Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, and coaches to ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met and maintain accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are stocked, coverage is maximal, and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional. Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and medical team members while advocating for injury prevention and athlete health literacy. Manage variable schedules with unpredictable hours, including late nights, to match partner needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
