Job Summary
Under the direction of the senior athletic trainer and hospital sports medicine physician, the Athletic Trainer plans and implements specific treatment programs for athletes, ensuring compliance with NATA guidelines. Responsibilities include providing emergency medical coverage, maintaining records of athletic injuries, and coordinating pre-participation physical exams. Must create educational opportunities for staff and maintain adequate documentation. A Master’s degree and relevant certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Bachelor’s in science (if licensed prior to 2022)
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Certification
- South Carolina Athletic Trainers Certification
- South Carolina LLR licensure
- AHA Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Desired Qualifications
- Prior athletic training experience preferred
