Athletic Trainer

Job Summary
Conduct prevention-focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries while collaborating with physical therapists, strength coaches, and dietitians. Engage in performance optimization strategies addressing physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual readiness domains to support unit leaders in reducing injuries and enhancing overall soldier readiness. Leverage data tools from the Center for Initial Military Training to track and improve outcomes such as ACFT pass rates and resilience. Requires a CAATE-accredited bachelor's degree, BOC passing score, state licensure, and two years of recent experience working with active populations. Full-time on-site role at Ft. Huachuca supporting the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness initiative.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Passing score from the BOC for the Athletic Trainer
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands to provide health care within the scope of practice for Athletic Trainers per state practice acts
- Two years of relevant Athletic Training work experience within the last three years
- Experience working with active populations (e.g. military, high school, collegiate, professional sports, performing arts, occupational health)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Current physical and immunizations
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to spend time on feet
- Must be able to spend time in the elements
- Must be able to carry supplies
