Job Summary
Athletic Trainer (Outreach) in the Wellstar MCG Health System athletic outreach program serving two counties with nine high schools. Delivers athletic training services as part of a multidisciplinary team in a secondary school setting, including injury/illness prevention, examination/diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, and therapeutic interventions. Responsible for evaluation of athletic and non-athletic conditions for high school athletes, educating stakeholders on prevention and treatment, coordinating Wellstar-associated clinic appointments and follow-ups, and documenting interactions in the EMR. Must practice within GA/SC state acts and maintain required documentation to practice as an athletic trainer in GA. Performs other duties as assigned in compliance with Wellstar policies. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Training or Master's in Athletic Training
- CAATE-accredited program graduation
- State credential as Athletic Trainer (GA/SC)
- BLS-I or BLS or ARC-BLS certification
- Experience: Less than 1 year with approved degree or 15+ years with related degree and BOCE eligibility prior to 2004
