Job Summary
Athletic Trainer Outreach role at Wellstar MCG Health System serving two counties with nine high schools. Provide athletic training services as part of a multidisciplinary team in the secondary school setting, covering a contracted school and performing duties per the Outreach manager. Deliver injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion, examination, assessment and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities include evaluation of athletic and non-athletic conditions for high school athletes, educating stakeholders on prevention and treatment, coordinating Wellstar clinic appointments and follow-ups, and documenting interactions in the EMR. Maintain compliance with local/state/national regulations and ensure required documentation to practice as an athletic trainer in GA. Perform other duties as assigned and uphold Wellstar policies and standards; sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and benefits are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Exercise Science or Bachelors Athletic Training or Masters Athletic Training
- CAT - Certified Athletic Trainer
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor
- Appropriate state credential as an athletic trainer Upon Hire Required
