Job Summary
Athletic Trainer role supporting clinical care in Orthopedics at Perrysburg Medical Center. Responsibilities include injury assessment, bracing, rehabilitation, facilitating return-to-play and functional training; developing treatment plans; coordinating care with physical therapists and outreach athletic trainers; educating patients on exercises; documenting treatments; and supporting scheduling and throughput using EPIC/EHR. Requires collaboration with providers, adherence to continuing education, and participation in injury-prevention programs; cash-based functional return-to-play programming may be included. Education path includes a Bachelor's (required) with a Master’s preferred, and active NATA BOC certification and state licensure; BLS is required within specified hires. Experience preference: 2 years in a similar setting; Epic EHR experience and strong communication skills are valued. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training
- NATA BOC Certified
- Current Athletic Trainer license in the state in which they are practicing
- BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
