Job Summary
Assist in the daily clinical treatment of patients, supporting physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and managing injury prevention programs. Provide guidance to patients on exercise programs, bracing, and scheduling, while coordinating care with outreach athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other medical professionals to optimize physician clinical throughput. Document injury treatments, develop plans of care, and measure and fit braces or medical equipment for patients. Monitor patient conditions during treatment and rehab, and explain care plans, treatment plans, and surgical plans to patients. Maintain competency through participation in continuing education, in-services, and other learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training
- NATA BOC Certified – National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification
- Current Athletic Trainer license in the state in which they are practicing
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Athletic Training
- 2 years of experience in equivalent setting
- BLS Basic Life Support
- EPIC Electronic Health Record or equivalent EMR
