Job Summary
Assess patient needs to perform interventions supporting the orthopedic service line continuum of care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to reduce care obstacles and facilitate a clear path back to baseline. Serve as a knowledgeable resource and coordinator between clients, providers, and community resources, assisting patients in obtaining assistance through referrals and appointment scheduling. Direct patients to appropriate support while maintaining records, promoting patient education, and building relationships to improve quality of care. Perform evaluation, training, and care for injured athletes and other patients in accordance with organizational goals. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, NATA certification, Indiana licensure, and current CPR certification. Preferred experience includes one year in an athletic training program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree in Athletic Training
- Certification as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification
- Licensure or eligible for licensure by the Indiana Professional Licensing Board
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Valid driver's license
- 1 year experience in athletic training program or similar setting
- Membership in national and state athletic training association
