Job Summary
Conduct preconditioning, conditioning, and reconditioning treatment to ensure safe and effective student athlete performance. Provide immediate care, evaluation, and rehabilitation for athletic injuries while following concussion return-to-play protocols. Cover all home contests, away varsity football games, and daily practices during the 2026-2027 school year, including early morning tryouts and weekend holidays. Advise athletes on health maintenance, serve as a liaison between physicians and coaches, and maintain confidential records and emergency plans. Manage the athletic training room inventory, supply logistics, and daily operations while rendering emergency care as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts License as Athletic Trainer
- certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- current CPR/First Aid and AED Certification
- Ability to train and work well with students, staff and community members
- Ability to operate independently as well as a member of a team
- sound judgement in handling matters with high school students

- effectively promote and uphold the district's mission, vision, goals, and policies
- state, local and federal applicable laws, and regulations
- computer skills including Google or Microsoft Word documents and spreadsheets
