Job Summary

Provide on-site athletic training services to student-athletes at games and practices; conduct and document evaluation following injury, and provide direct services to student-athletes in emergency first-aid care. Work with the Athletic Department and coaches to monitor health, assist in maintaining the athletic training room and equipment, and conduct training for coaches and student-athletes. Travel with teams for state and pre-season tournaments as needed; ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation; collaborate with Mid-Pacific Athletic Training staff and school nurses to review health forms and implications for participation. Maintain injury reports, participate in safety initiatives, and contribute to injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies. Regular and predictable attendance; full-time, in-person, 12-month schedule with variable hours for practices and games.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Athletic Training
  • Certification in National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) by Board of Certification
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification (and CPR Instructor Certification availability)
  • State of Hawaii Athletic Trainer Registration
  • Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop and modify treatment and rehabilitation programs
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, weekends
  • Maintain required certifications
  • Hawaii driver’s license
