Job Summary
Athletic Trainer/Medical Assistant Orthopedics at Sano: Clinical Navigator I-Physician-Specific assists physicians, provides direct patient care, offers pre-operative education and post-care for patients, rooms patients, schedules follow-ups, maintains EMR documentation, coordinates MRI and surgery referrals, and supports front-office duties. The role involves patient education, assembling and dispensing paperwork, coordinating care with external providers, developing home exercise programs, and mentoring students/residents while upholding confidentiality and professional standards. Requires strong ICD/CPT knowledge, EMR proficiency (eClinicalWorks preferred), excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (preferred)
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience will be considered
- Clinical Experience in Provider Specialty - Total Joints (preferred)
- State Licensed (or eligible for License in MO and KS), if applicable
- Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification, Inc. (ATC) or applicable accrediting body (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred and must acquire upon hire)
