Job Summary
Athletic Trainer needed to provide comprehensive athletic training services for intercollegiate athletics. Responsible for evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of injuries under supervision of team physician; develop treatment plans; attend home practices/games and travel with teams; supervise graduate students in the Athletic Training Education Program; serve as liaison with physicians, coaches, and staff; contribute to athlete education on conditioning, nutrition, protective equipment, and return-to-play decisions; maintain medical records and support pre-participation screenings. Requires CAATE-program degree, BOC certification, NY licensure (or eligibility), and BLS; 37.5 hours/week, travel during season, evening/weekend duties, and eligibility for duties across athletic facilities; visa sponsorship not provided. Emphasis on clinical reasoning, confidentiality, inclusivity, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in athletic training from a CAATE-accredited program
- Minimum of one-year athletic training experience
- Board of Certification (BOC) Certified in athletic training in good standing
- Current New York State licensure (or eligibility) as an Athletic Trainer
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
