Athletic Trainer

Carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with physicians and physical therapists. Assess and administer first aid during practices and sporting events, making appropriate physician referrals when needed. Oversee the operation of the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained, coverage is provided, and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional. Communicate effectively with coaches, school administration, parents, athletes, and medical team members while maintaining accurate records of evaluations and treatments. Provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the athletic director, coaching staff, and boosters. Organize in-services, lectures, conferences, and seasonal physicals as appropriate.
