Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, assessing and administering first aid while making appropriate physician referrals. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation, ensuring proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, safety, and a clean environment, while communicating effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members. Maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and organize educational opportunities such as in-services and seasonal physicals. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
